anyone region mod their pc engine?

im going to mod my pc engine to play us/japan games.

the problem is, i have no idea where to mount the switch. it can really only go on the top or the front since i have a briefcase cdrom.

just wondering where anyone else mightve put the switch or what kind of switch.

i could just put a giant toggle sticking out the front but im kind of focusing on aesthetics too.

There are 8 switched pins on the hu card slot.

Looks like D-lite uses a small pcb with (2) 4pdt electronic switches

That whole board is then controlled by a single spdt switch

i know how to do it. i was just wondering if anyone has because im looking for a good switch to use. a slide switch is fine on a duo, but im using a pce and there doesnt seem to be much room. where he put the switch on the core grafx it wouldnt fit in the briefcase cdrom which i have.

If a slide switch is going to take up too much room, then maybe a push button switch would be the answer.

I guess the question is what will fit better, a rectangular slide switch or a round push button switch?

Just make sure its not a momentary push button switch

yeah. its just browsing online parts catalogs for switches is a really shitty way to find what you want.

im thinking about putting it in the little dip under where the hucard goes. this way you wouldnt be able to hit it with a game in. theres just not a ton of room.
