If this is one of the codes that was sent to you in an e-mail or ebay message, it's tied to accounts that received that same e-mail or message. For example, I didn't get it so when I just tried to use it, it didn't work, unfortunately.

If it's not that type of e-mail or message code, I have no idea why it didn't work for me other than maybe someone used it before me.
