Topic says it all, mine are the kof 96 art of fighting level, the 99 rain level, and the 98 scrapyard ones...

KOF 94, KOF 95 and KOF 99. All of them....

There are many nice ones in the other games to, but these have the best ones IMHO.

I like 96 and 99

The single best background - the destroyed stadium in KOF 96 where you fight Goenitz. That background has lost me so many rounds <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

Yeah. Pao Pao Cafe = one of the fukn best backs I've ever seen. 94 is such a cool game.

The rainy park stage of 99 would be a good addition to your list I think, as well as the deserted temple in 98.

Hmmmm... I don't really think I could name one KoF straight off for best bg's... so...

Final Stage KoF '96 - that stadium is awesome
Ikari Stage KoF '95
Monaco stage KoF '97
Korea Stage KoF '97
Rain stage KoF '99
Boss Team stage KoF '96
Japan stage KoF '98
King's Bar KoF '95
All the bg's from KoF '94 are really good especially the Japan and US bg's.

2001 was total rubbish
2000 only had the factory stage,that one was good
99 had two:rainy one and sewers
98 had the elevator stage from 95
97 had monaco

all good,
but what i wanted to say is that in kof 94 95 96 there isnt a single average bg

they're all fuckin mega

I thought that 96 was the only KOF that really felt like it was a KOF tournament. All the bg's in that game were awesome. Especially the stadiums.

'95s were good too, but not my most favorite, my 2nd more likely
'96s were boring imo
'97s were decent...

KOF '94--Italy, USA, Japan, and Mexico(Remember when I used to have that as a sig? lol)

KOF '95--Japan, Korea, and Iori

KOF '96--FF, Japan(Hero Team), Iori, Korea, Ikari, Boss Team, and Final Stage. (I feel your pain, Huxley.) :(

KOF '97--Monaco

KOF '98--Both Japans, China, both USA stages, and Spain

KOF '99--Airport, Rain, Sewer, carnival(DC version)

Unfortuantely, I haven't played 2k or 2k1 yet. :(

I liked basically all the BGs from KOF94 to 99, I only liked a couple (factory, desert, Zero)in 2000, none in 2k1, and only 1 so far in 2k2.

99 by far has my favorite BGs, my favorite of all time is the mid rain stage, during round 2 in the park stage, the gray sky and light raining.. pretty... o_O

My favorite KOF stage is easily the county fair from '97. The great visuals combined with that good 'ol festive American fair music blew me away the first time I saw it. I swear, SNK did their homework to a T on that stage.

In 99' the rainy park stage is my favorite, just a nice calm fighting atmosphere.
