Is it possible to seperate the vertical and horizontal sync out of the composite sync that the Neo puts out? I've been eying this old monitor at the thrift shop that has 5 plugs in the back of it. R G B HD and VD. I am assuming the VD an HD are vertical and horizontal sync.
Any thoughts?

i've read that sometimes it doesnt matter, and you can just hook up the composite to the horizontal (or the vertical i forget which) but then some say you do have to split it.

theres how to do it.

A sync seperator is a fairly simple circuit, use a LM 1881

How can I build a circuit which converts composite sync signal to HSYNC and VSYNC ?
Check this link.

Thanks for the links, ttooddddyy!

A really interesting read there, and I needed the sync separator circuit schematics, too. wink
