Probably a lost cause but does there happen to be a common flaw with AES power supplies that can be easily fixed.

Or once they fail are they dead for good?

I tested it friends power supply and it is dead on both of our systems but my power supply works fine on both of our systems.

I noticed the power supplies on the open market can command $25-$45 so I am sure he is not going to be thrilled to hear the news.

Thanks

12.99 at JNX :)

Doesn't really answer the first part of your question though.... sorry....

But I wonder if it is a heat issue... If you leave htose guys plugged in they stay pretty warm... I wonder if this just causes wear of the units. If you figure some of those could be sitting around plugged in for long periods of time (maybe months or longer on end) for 15+ years, that might be part of the issue !?

Sweet

I will point him in that direction

I guess the folks in the sales forum can be glad for the no crapping on sales thread rules because that place would put them out of business for power supplies.

Thank You
