Hi,

I thought I saw a rumor about this a few months back, so what happened to the game Cross Sword 2 US NGF (CD to NGHC)? Just curious...

I think this would be pretty hard to do. The code would have to be recompiled using the headers of the MVS/AES system... unless it is straight assembly, if that was the case then most of the code will need to be rewritten. The game would have been made to use red-booked audio off the CD, obviously that won't work on a AES... also, the game was set to load from the CD in contigous space, instead of in ROM form. The only way to do this would be to get your hands on the source and resources of the CD game. Recompile it with knowledge of what needs to be changed to make it into an AES game (I am sure that is no small task) and then have the facility to burn the roms (EPROM?). If you are only going to be selling 100 of them, that seems like a lot more work then it is worth,

dion thought you could convert a NGCD to a home cart by placing the CD inside a home cart shell. He found out it did not work. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
