Prices on here or shmups always seem pretty fair to me. Do a marketplace search on both.

A member here did compile a price guide which is slightly outdated but I forget who. What game are you pondering about as I have them all.

Fuck price guides, they make people raise their already good prices because they think it's a bible.

Not really man, whenever I sell its always within the range of what ever I sold a previous identical item for if not lower. Not everybody is out to rape and pillage.

His problem is he didn't ask for low end boards like super street fighter or darkstalkers, he went straight to the top with not so common boards such as gigawing and D&D1 and a high end board for god sake like D&D2 and expects to pay nothing, might be a klov member. What I quoted is what I believe those boards are worth. Well all I can say to him is stick around you never know given the economy if someone needs to sale to pay the bills, but just don't hold your breath while waiting. He can also try the Japaneses auctions but after commission and triple shipping he just be paying the same.

BTW, shoot me your addy Xian Xi so I can send back your boards

Yeah that gigawing is a deal, especially phoenixed as that board I haven't managed to get any more cheap duplicates of in over 2 years. Xmen vs SF fall out the sky night and day. Make sure its legit though.

Mainman, why don't you post a complete price guide for the rest of the CPS2 games?

Even in this day and age I have no web page building knowledge so what ever guide I come up with will only stick to that thread and be eventually buried making it impossible to keep the guide relevant to the times

XvS Blue not phoenixed? a guy on CL has it for $75....

That sounds fair and if I didn't already have ten I probably bite.

Why don't you post it anyway? I am sure with the members we have on this site, someone will be willing to post (or host) it for you.

If it would be of some worth to others minus Xian Xi :glee:I would have no issues with making a guide. Although I know someone here did beat me to it, just can't remember who, but I do remember it was outdated.

The prices listed in this thread so far are on the high side. The last thing we need is someone driving the prices up with a price guide. Considering mainman resells a lot of CPS2 games, I don't think the guide will be fair if he does it without input from anyone else.

Ok, lets take gigawing. The only place you can walk in and buy a green board is going to be on a Japaneses auction and after commission and the rest the minimum your looking at is $110. Christ man, lets not even talk about D&D as those are popular titles and you know those sell around what I quoted.

If anything I'm speaking from actual experience instead of just grabbing numbers out the air.

Now with recent times which are hard for everyone a guy might have to sell below value just to pay his bills same as a crack head will sell a 50 inch flat screen for $20 to get high. Wait thats not the same but you get the point. Basically at the moment its a buyers market and this environment is where your getting your mentality from. I will accept and appreciate any input not based on just ONE transaction witnessed/completed as oppose to the at least hundred I have completed. So basically its going to take a huge combined effort of the board to balance out with me because there's not to many cases of a single person who has owned/sold at least 13 D&D2 but I know 13 separate people have bought owned the same game.

Has anybody I ever sold to felt like I gougeD them?

Working on it now, decided to do a complete summary of the hardware to give it more content

So basically you're saying that the rest of us know nothing, since our input pales to compare to your "hundreds" of transactions. This sounds pretty one sided to me. I'm done buying CPS2 stuff anyway. I guess I shouldn't care.

Nope I'm saying at best a opinion should be backed with some evidence and it will take more than ONE person to change my, is that asking so much, why are you getting defensive. My opinions are based on repetitive personal dealings in the real world and that is a fact, how much involved can you get than that. My low end is what I would sell a board for which includes shipping why the high end is what the same game has been sold for at places like ebay and even on this forum. Show me your sales threads and I will show you mines, plain and simple.

At best I imagine any example put forward to me will consist of a lone occurance from a single link in opposition or at worse come down to I know a guy who knew this guy who bought a progear from a garage sale for $1 so change your guide accordingly. Basically you see things like this, if you seen a sale for a ps3 for $200 why everyone else is selling for $400 you would now believe from that day forward that ps3 are only worth $200 (jokes aside) and not try to reason that this is a one time/rare deal or a annual deal, you would just draw the conclusion that this is now the new low end despite the fact that availability at that price is in no way a guaranteed thing in contrast to the regular price at what the item sells. Now there definitely the chance that the collecting market will tank the price on the cps2 hardware much like sony can drop the price on their ps3 to $200 but neither cases have happened yet.

My opinions are just that, not gospel and the same holds true for yours, don't get pissed off man I wasn't trying to antagonize you.

I'm not pissed. Just tired of people who look at this hobby as $$$. Just play the games and don't worry about value.
