Terrible system design, terrible board design. I have Drift Out 94 and Pachinko Sexy Reaction. I also have two Pachinko candy cab panels, but I lack the jamma adapter board necessary to hook them up.

How's Drift out 94?

Change Air Blade seem like a pretty cool Idea and I'm interested in playing it. There are a few other shooters on the system that I am interested it.

I'm pretty sure Dyna Gear is a proto.

Storm Blade is a well done Strikers/Aero Fighters rip off. Vasara 1 and 2 are Visco's attept at a modern shmup. Both great games.

They should had gone forward and release Dyna Gear because it's a pretty damn good game.

I'm getting Vasara either by the end of the week or next week with Batrider, so yeah I'll be a future SSV owner.

The little adapter board that's plugged on the jamma connector is what I'm missing.

I have had a bunch of SSV games and still have some of them. Like other have mentioned the hardware is of a rather poor design but other than that there are some fun games.

What I've currently got:

Change Air Blade (cool, unique vs. style shooter)
Storm Blade (great game, a tad on the easy side though)
Vasara

What's been sold:

Driftout '94 (graphics may be better but gameplay isn't even close to Neo Driftout)
Twin Eagle II (everything can be blown up which is cool but the graphics are craptastic)
Vasara 2 (liked the first part better)

I've seen one of those Pachinko panels up for sale only once, didn't come with a PCB though.

So I got my Vasara in the mail today and sadly it's starting to show graphical glitches. I just send a PM to channelmaniac to see if he wants to take a look at it.

Well problem solved on the Vasara board. My cab was outputting 5.82 volts (which is dangerously high). So my friend and I change the voltage to 5.06 and thus Vasara was fully working again.

Check your 5v if you run into any problems since it looks like SSV stuff is picky on the 5v.

Bump!

If you have an SSV based board, be careful of the heatsink. It's only bolted down on one side so if you smack it hard you'll damage the soldering on the chip under it... Or worse... you could bend the chip and break solder pads.

Not the smartest design by a manufacturer...

I'm confused, I have Eagle Shot and Drift Out '94 and they're pretty much plug and play.

Liek Chief said it ain't no Neo Drifout but it's still pretty cool if you like to have a variety of driving games like that.

...that would be a solar blanket.

Agreed, it seems like it would be wise to own the games you want with mobos for each.

Those pachinko panels look awesome. Do any games support these besides the ones listed for Visco?Could you not just make your own adapter?

i have the PSR panel and adapter. The panel is noisy as hell while you play. There is a motor in it that does nothing but emulate the annoying sounds of a real pachinko machine. I love having it though.

I have:

Lovely pop 1
Lovely pop 2
Mahjong Hyper Reaction 2
Vasara
Vasara 2 [viva channelmaniac!!!!]
PSR 1 [w/panel]
PSR 2
Eagle Shot Golf [i think, mighta' sold it...can't recall. Terrible game]

I love the hardware, but see how it can be sketchy. Nowhere near as bad as Konami hardware though IMO.

Nah, Sexy Reaction 2 sucked. Less animation and the character design was just awful.

"Play it. You enjoy Pachinko"

That's really cool. I played PSR on MAME for shits and giggles and wondered if there was a Pachinko style dial for the game. I also didn't like PSR2 as much as the first.

I kind of agree. But, I still enjoy the second one. The gameplay is different enough to warrant owning it IMO
