I recently bought a 2nd converter that I intended to give to a friend who has gotten out of the Neo gaming. I wanted to give him a reason to get back into Neo Geo since MVS games are easier to find.
Anyways, my blue phantom without the black protective case has served me well and plays perfect to this day.
I just got the 2nd one today and it is the newer phantom-1 with the black protective case. It is giving me a lot of trouble. I have only gotten it to work 3 times of about 60 attempts. And when it did work there was a lot of white noise in addition to the audio.
I have tried cleaning the unit with q-tips and rubbing alcohol.
Any other ideas as to why my unit would work so well on my AES ( Serial # aprox 10,000) and the one I bought for a friend is not working well on my machine?
