Monitor purchasing advice?

I'm looking to pick up a new 26 inch monitor, and I was wondering if people on the boards could give me some advice.

I hope to run a JAMMACast in the cab, and I was wondering what resolution I should be looking to get. I would like to leave some options open as to what I could run (JAMMA, 360 if possible, ect), but the primary use would be the DC. I know some SEGA cabs like the Aeros and Swings use 26 inch monitors, but I would think not many others would. I don't know if it would be hard to find a 26 as a result.

The cab that would be housing the monitor has a rotating mech, and I was wondering if that would cause any problems as far as mounting is concerned? The current monitor in the cab is a dead CRT, but I have no idea what the res was.

Hey Matt, how ya doin' man? It might be more helpful if you tell people exactly what cab it would be going in. Some companies make good replacement monitors for specific cabs (because, like you said, certain cabs have certain size monitors made specifically for them.

For instance, I know for a fact that a Japanese company called River Service makes a replacement monitor just for Astro Cities, because they are common cabs and replacements can sometimes be hard to find.

There are a lot of people who have all kinds of different cabs on this board and have studied intensely about what kind of monitor would be a good replacement for them.
Once you list your cab, I'm sure won't have any trouble tracking done what you are looking for.

i'd guess you'd want hi res (31khz) w/ VGA for DC wouldn't you?
