SNK classic coming to Xbox 360.

UK, April 21, 2009 - SNK's hallowed conclusion to the Fatal Fury series is coming to the Xbox 360, as Garou: Mark of the Wolves has been confirmed for Xbox Live Arcade.

Released in 1999, Garou: Mark of the Wolves was the ninth and final instalment of Fatal Fury, a fighting series that stretched back to 1991. A fan favourite to this day, the game was granted a Dreamcast release that was met with critical acclaim.

Announced at yesterday's Xbox 360 conference in Japan, the Xbox Live Arcade version of the game is scheduled between spring and summer this year – although there's no word yet on a release outside of Japan.

I'd heard this a while ago. I was pretty sure it was on this forum, but I guess it wasn't.

I'm really stoked for this stuff though. I'll have an Xbox pad with a 4 in a row layout for sure by then.

we need to get some neo.com matches going for this sucker like no other. seeing how crazy kof98's been delayed though, i have no idea when.

KOF98 got delayed to 2010 so they could fix their netcode last I heard.

I'm guessing it'll be 800 spacebucks.

I was thinking about passing on this, since I already have 2 versions of the game... But the ability to play online with you guys might be too good to pass up. Sounds like I might have to hit up ecksnine for a stick, though. Using the 360 dpad for this would suck! :)

I'm pretty crap at the game, though. So I'll have to steel myself in advance of getting my ass kicked. :tickled:

Hahahahaha.... If only you knew someone that could hook you up with a sweet arcade stick, huh? Maybe something with a lovely wood box and some custom art.

This might be great news, there are 2DF and GGPO though, which have a really good netcode, so i don't know if i'll pick it up.

Whoa!

If this has online head-to-head, it makes the thought of buying a 360 far more palatable to me at this point.

Now that's 1 game besides the TMNT Arcade game that I'll be planning to buy on XBLA, that's if I ever start to use XBLA which probably won't happen & instead, I'll find myself waiting for over 5-8 years before MOTW comes to the Nintendo VC. :annoyed:

does anyone know if there's going to be a sequel to MOTW, and when it would be coming out?
playing online is good, but it's still not the same as playing against a human opponent who's right next to you.
most of the people you'd be playing MOTW against on Xbox Live would be using crappy Xbox controllers, so they wouldn't be fair fights.

I was browsing the Live marketplace earlier and noticed they released some gamer pictures for MOTW. They were even in the Arcade game section, not the picture section. I wonder if that means the game is coming soon.
