Hey, the day of getting an AES is nearing...
What serial numbers should I look for? Like how high or low, I mean. Because I was thinking of getting the one in the Neo Store but the serial number is low, and the body is pretty beat up. I can get a nice condition japanese one with FF and SS2. I think I'll get that. (Same Price) They are universal and you can select english language. Thanks guys, If things dont work out for me and MS3. (I want it soo bad) than should I get MS2 or X?

Ideal system: High serial number, super mod, japanese system. That is what I'd buy if I was buying an AES system. As far as good games. I'll list some of my personal favs. I LOVE the Sam Sho series. But, if you only can afford to get one of the four, I'd get either 2 or 4. Two is a lot cheaper however. Magician Lord is cheap and is a classic. Baseball Stars 2 is also a great game. I personally don't like the KoF series but many people do. Of course, MOTW and Last Blade (although they are expensive). Geez there is just so many. Have fun deciding lol. Hope this helped.

Just look for one in good condition. I highley recommend a modded system. You will notice how bad the picture is with an rf unit. The av cable is ok, but the s-video is a LOT better. Also, the debug allows you to change from MVS to Home System. In MVS mode you can have as many credits as you want. In home cart mode, you are stuck with only 5 credits.

As far as games. Here is a list of cheap ones that are just a blast to play

1) Samurai Showdown 2
2) Baseball Stars 2
3) Fatal Fury Special

Of course you could always save up for more expensive games.

1)MOTW
2)Samurai Showdown 4
3)Metal Slug 3 and X

Thanks, guys. I will be working a lot this summer so I will get my AES and try to work up enough cash for a copy of MS3. D-R, do you think you could mod my system? (Advertised on your store, of course)

I got a Japanese AES with a "super mod"

My favorite game on the Neo is Metal Slug so I got that...$1,200 but well worth it to me IMO.

I bought Metal Slug 2 today only because I am going to collect the whole series. X is beter than 2 and 3 just kicks ass!

If you really want to play the games and not collect I recommend a Super Nova with a 1-slot and some MVS titles VERY inexpensive.

Absolutely no offense intended, I think you should look to an MVS setup, or a home cart system with a converter. Home cart games are way too expensive for that level of income, and you will get frustrated with only being able to buy games once you get the money saved. Seriously consider a way to play MVS games.

ofr the choice between MS2 and MSX, take the last because SNK erased all the animation problems of MS2 in MSX.

Bad advice really but:have you considered a loan?
The upside is:you could get £$5000 and spend what you bloody well like, youll be able to say haha buy now on metal slug 3,motw,last blade ect.
You wont have to save up and watch in agony as prices of aes carts go up or dissapear.
The downside:youll owe a huge debt you might take forever paying back. But at least you have your games.
Or if your job allows it,do what i do and do loads and loads of overtime where you end up working an 80 hour week.

Yeah, Atariguy, I am. And guys, I appreciate all of your concern. I am getting a new job soon. I just will work a lot more for my Neo Stuff now, then cool off. Im gonna get 210 a week. It'll keep me happy. As for a loan? I would be paying them untill I was 90.
It is painful to watch prices go up... and Metal Slug 3 (which I would honestly sell my soul for) get re-released and me NOT GETTING A MOTHERFUCKING COPY!

there are a lot of exciting games which don't cost to much, even if they're not new they can provide you many fun hours.

Anyone have the link to kai-ten? I bookmarked it back when he first started pushing his systems but have since lost it.

Thanks!

thanks a lot for the link. I thought his deals were too good to be true when I first came across his site, but he seems to have charmed quite a few people here.
