well dudes, after much deliberating I have decided to sell my custom restored Aero City and/or my Egret 2 Candy cabinets. I only need to sell one of these so I will close the thread once one of them does.

Guaranteed, you will not find another Aero City cabinet like this one. I originally bought it as just a broke down shell with no monitor and spent over a year sourcing parts and restoring it, saying nothing of the money I spent getting it done. I am completely anal about stuff like this, so rest assured there is nothing ghetto rigged or half assed about this cabinet.

I stripped, sanded and re sprayed the entire cabinet based on the 2 tone varieties that were released in Japan. Had new, matching side art printed and installed a brand new PSU and monitor in it. The original wiring was still in good shape so I stripped it out, cleaned it up and reinstalled in with all the original connectors. The control panel was ordered brand new from Riverservice and has seimitsu pearl buttons and seimitsu sticks installed in it. Additionally, the cabinet is wired for CPS 6 buttons (with kick harness included) and for neo-geo/PGM 4 button. Cabinet also has the hard to find Aero City marquee holder! After much searching I was finally able to source an original Nanao MS8-26SU with zero burn and great clean colors, that is what is still in the cabinet. As an additional bonus, I will be including a *second* Nanao MS8-26SU monitor (with some burn) and another chassis for the same monitor.

I am accepting reasonable offers at this point... I have not posted a price for this as I dont really *need* to sell the cabinet and I also know I will not get back what I put into it. Such is life.

Shipping is fine so long as the buyer arranges it entirely on their end and assumes full responsibility for any issues that may arise due to transit.

Local pickup is of course preferred.

Looking for 750.00 total for the cabinet and all the extras

here is everything included;
Sega Aero City cabinet
Aero city marquee holder
Aero city manual
Spare nanao monitor w/chassis
spare nanao chassis
club sega handwipes

Up next is my taito Egret 2 cabinet. This is one of the first E2's that matsu imported and the monitor is astounding in this cabinet. Truly. The panel (as evident in the pics) was originally a 4 button neo-geo layout... I modified it by punching holes for the kick buttons to make it Street Fighter ready. Spent alot of time doing this and the button configuration came out perfect with no mishaps to the original panel itself. Cabinet has the E2 marquee holder, instruction sheet, working coin mechs (for yen), and some of the taito handwipes that were given out in arcades in Japan. Monitor has absolutely ZERO screen burn and great geometry, crispness and color. Buttons are sanwa and the sticks are seimitsu LS-32.

Ballast needs a new bulb but I have put a new starter in it so it is good to go.

Looking for 1100.00 for the Egret 2

What res does this bad boy display? was wondering looking for something for cps2 and atomiswave gameplay.

ya feel me alec?

@ mightygstyper.. I had been using it primarily for my CPS2 games and it looks great. Atomiswave will work also but it will only display in low-res (15Khz) mode as these monitors can only output low (15) and Medium (24) resolutions.

thanks for the interest man, pics to follow soon!

Seth, I'd be interested in that spare chassis if you'd sell it separately.

Seth!

What are you doing homie! Please please for the love of god, unless you are paying for a kidney transplant or some shit, KEEP THIS GUY.

When I first saw the restore, I was like...DAMN!

There will never be another aero anywhere as nice as yours PERIOD.

As you probably remember I almost sold both my Blast and Impress a few months back, some flakey sellers kept it from going, but you know what? I'm hella thankful for the timewasters as I would regret it now more than ever. If you do sell this and ever want another cab, I'll keep the impress with your name on it.

But man, I think you are either feeling the crunch of student loans (every payment I make covers 130 interest and 7, yes 7 of principal WTF) or are just really tired.

Keep it real man...:buttrock:

DONT DO IT!

thanks for the words dudes! Mike, I totally hear you man and Im willing to bet that I will eventually regret it in the end. My computer died (well I killed it) last week and I am taking the wife on a 3 week off trail camping trip to yellowstone, tetons and some spots in Utah in June so the extra scratch would be good to have.

Dude, though.. the offer of the Impress is certainly appreciated and hopefully I can take you up on that down the line, thanks brother!

68k, message coming for you buddy.

illicit, no worries man... we all gotta learn about this stuff somewhere. I wont be much help to you in getting that set up installed but Im sure you can find the info you need around this and other sites.

Pictures added to the first post fellas!

That is a beautiful cab Seth. You have inspired me to have my Aero repainted. I'll probably install a happ PSU in mine as well, since they are easier to find and seem to be a bit more reliable.

thanks dudes! It really is a great cabinet and I appreciate all the positive remarks about it!

Rob, what color scheme you got in mind man?

as for what price do I have in mind? I dont. I probably put over 1000.00 dollars into the cabinet, I realize fully however I wont see that. But I never did it to re-sell, I did it because it was fun.... if the cabinet goes to someone who is going to take care of it and appreciate having it, thats worth losing some money over.

The teal looks fantastic. I may end up going in that direction.

I'm surprised there wasn't a red Aero.

That would be cool if you painted the Aero pink or some other color after I spent over 40 hours of restoration work :lolz:
