Of fitting one of these:

Into one of these:

I plan on picking up an Aero Table today, but the only car I could get a hold of that is even close to fitting it is my girlfriend's Mazda 3 hatchback. What are the odds I can fit that bad boy in the back while fully assembled? Any shot in hell?

I doubt I'll be able to dissemble it while I'm at the guys place in order to fit it better. Do you think I'm just waisting my time?

Can't you just fold the seats down on that car? I imagine it'd fit easy. I wouldn't go dissasembling it .

I fit a Missile Command Cocktail into the back of a 300zx before. Had to remove the legs, but it fit. I imagine you should be be fine with that Mazda wagon.

Success. . .Kind of!

So I measured out the back of the car, and it looked like we were good to go. The car had a 27-28 inch clearance, and the cab is only 25 inches tall. 25 inches to the table top that is. When trying to get it in the car, it was clear that the bat tops weren't going to make it in. A few pumps with a hacksaw and" Presto, we're home free!

The cab is completely sprayed painted silver (puke), so it will be a long time before I get it looking proper. The monitor is sweet, so that's all I really cared about. The CPO, sticks, and buttons are pretty much shit which is why I didn't think twice to chop them down.

I'll post pics of the refurb as I go along.

To EG and DZ: Sorry I missed you guys today. You'll have to come around and mess with the cab when you get the chance.

God damn BeaglePuss. We are in the same state, and I never see things like this. Where do you get all these great finds?

Nice score by the way.

There's more where that came from my good man. PM me for details.

Be warmed though: Unless you like the look of shitty spray paint, it will take some serious work to refurb these bad boys.

As long as the monitor is in decent shape, everything else can be replaced. i'll throw a PM your way.

Wow, congrats on a great find. Never seen an Aero City Table in person before, it looks like a zerox machine, but I'm sure it's super rare and lots of fun to play.

If I post pictures, I'm afraid some members may vomit. The cab looks terrible in it's current state, but I'm getting some help from my MASS Crew buddies, so hopefully we can get this bad boy back to looking tip-top.

If anyone is EXTREMELY interested in picking up an Aero Table (and I would wait until you see some pics before you decide if it's right for you. . .), and can get to my place in MA, then I might be able to get you in on a table. PM me for details. Keep in mind that these cabs are spayed painted top-to-bottom with the most horrid looking silver spray paint. They're definitely project cabs.

They are all metal, so in theory, they are the best possible catch for a restore!:make_fac:

i'm sure it looks like shit man, but posting pics of it in it's current state is what i want to see. i wont be getting one, but i'd like to see what kind of state the cab is in for a restore project in general. i'm sure others would too, especially if someone is considering your offer of maybe getting themselves one. at the very least it will provide you with a good before and after.

otherwise i'm sure it'll be good for a laugh or two.

Oh, I completely intend of posting before, during, and after pictures of the cab. The cab is down the street from my place at my parent's house currently, and I haven't had a chance to snap any photos yet. I plan to do so by the weekend.

I intend to try and get one of these myself. I am currently asking around to see if someone has a truck or station wagon, or van I can haul it back here in. All me and my family have are smaller cars. My Egret II gets here next week so after that's installed, I can worry about this one. IF they all sell before I can snag one, no biggie though.

Sounds like a nice restoration project in front of you. Still, a nice looking cabinet and a great find.

I have NO problem at all housing it at my place until you're ready to buy. Let me know if I can help.

Alright. I will see how my funding is in a week or 2 and get back to ya. I have been pretty sick lately so chances are it might take me a tad bit longer than that. I dont want to commit to something until I am 100% I can buy it. But I plan on trying.

I know they're not the most telling of pictures, but this will at least give people an idea of what I got:

that's definetly silver alright. did you get the header piece that goes on the side too? it's like a display, you can see it in the stock picture you posted in the first thread.

I know exactly what you're talking about, and unfortunately all the Aeros had them stripped off. It's too bad too, because the marquees look awesome on these cabs. It comes down to beggars can't be choosers I suppose.

DZ and I are going to start the referb next Sunday. I'll post plenty of pics of the progress.

Structurally it looks to be in pretty good shape. I can't believe they even spray painted the chrome legs...

Are there any chips in the glass? I can imagine that would be a pain to try and fix.
