Aero Fighters 2, almost brand new up for sale. Boot with LX-chips/windowed eproms.
Asking price: $26+$10 shipping inc. PayPal.

Is it an OK price?

Kinda sucks i got tricked into buying it for $40, thinking it wasnt a boot.

That sucks, but you gotta chalk it up to a lesson learned. In the future consult the boot or no boot forum and be sure you're getting the real deal. There are a lot of people on this forum that are experts at spotting bootleg carts.

eh... if it makes you feel any better, I shelled out upwards of 50 bucks for a Bomberman boot (It pains me to say this, but I may have spent $100 on it) and at the time, had no idea that boot carts even existed.

I've noticed that people turn a blind eye to the sale of boots on here if 1- you're selling lots of legit carts and only the odd boot, 2- you don't set such a crazy price, 3- you're an "established" member

To be honest I'm not sure I see the need for any of those unwritten rules, let alone the written ones, but just my 2p's worth.

True to form, I really thought that was a fair price. Now i realize it was not. But to be hones, all my entrances to any forum or community has always been trough breaking the rules and doing more or less moronous things.

The reason i created an account here was:
1) To ask people about a couple of carts i thought were boots
2) To see if anyone was interested in my Aero Fighters 2, the only cart i dont want in my collection.

But yeah, I realize many people frown their eyes seeing yet another retarded new member on the board, just like me! And sure as hell here I am, spelling mistakes and everything.

Well don't let it get you down, some folks on here can be a bit quick to jump on other folks at times, at least you can admit your mistakes. At the end of the day this is a video games forum, not life and death. But if you're interested in neo geo then don't let a few keyboard warriors drive you away ;)

Edit: I'd just like to clarify that I'm making a generalisation and my comments are not specifically aimed at anyone who has posted in this thread

Spec's got it right.

To the original poster-I think I was the first one to post here. I didnt' mean to dissuade you from participating in this forum. Au contraire, now that you've found this place, I hope you stick around! If you can admit your mistakes, you'll survive a lot better than most here. Don't let any of this get you down. I'd just rather you hear that you shouldn't be selling a boot, especially in a dedicated thread just after you got here.

yea, it's all good - there are a few of us that prefer the boots like me :D because they are cheaper and we just want to play the games and really dont care if they are legit carts or not. For the hard core collector "boot" is a bad word, but for the gamer - who cares lol. But also for me, I have 3 kids and can't always afford to fork out a shitload of cash on games...the wife is in nursing school, so things are tight. Most won't give you too much grief, they will just point you in the right direction! :D

I have never seen a boot be 100% reliable.

It's not always about being the "collector", you want something that you know is going to work properly.

In contrast to 68k, I had unknowingly owned a Neo Bomberman boot for 7 or 8 years before finally realizing it was in fact a boot. In that time, during which the game was played a significant amount, I never had any problems with sound or graphic glitches, or anything else of that nature. For that matter, it probaby works a fair bit better than most of my other carts.
