i'm definitely not doing a restoration, so i figure i'd solicit some ideas...

1. i don't want coin slots since it will always be free play.
options:
-replace coin door with another coin box door
-take it all out and throw another piece of wood over it to make a flat front
-something else???

2. if i remove the coin door, i'll need another way to access the clasps for the control panel which i need to get to to change games.
options:
-some crazy levers to replace the clasps which would be accessible from outside
-a door on one side of the cab, or put hinges on the rear door to change games
-something else???

3. colors.
options:
-red parts become silver/gray, control panel becomes bare metal.
-let my buddy graffiti the crap out of the sides.
-something else???

They make blank coin doors that you can buy from happs. Just go with one of those.

Do you have a conversion MVS, or do you have a BigRed? If it's a BigRed, I'd say leave it red or paint it the offical Blue. Otherwise it could look like this, sans the MAME poop on it.

If you take out the coin door you should open the front and put in some shelves to put your collection of carts on.
