Thanks to OMF2097 for getting me in touch with Ken at TheGameRoom.com

Anyways, Ken's got a bunch of MVU-4-25's and Sega Astro City cabinets that are going for pretty cheap.

He's asking 360 per Astro City cabinet and 400 per MVU-4-25 (no motherboard).

I'd like to know who's interested in what.

I know OMF2097 wants a MVU-4-25 and he'll be first in line. Ken's got some 15 MVU-4's and a ton of Astros.

Go ahead and post interest here I'll get as much information as I can.

I'm located in Arlington, VA.. very close to Washington, DC.

How hard is it to rotate the monitor in these guys... i know they don't have a mechanism to do it... but is it hard to pop it around yourself? (looking mainly to play some vertical stuff)

the astro is easy enough, but its not something you want to do every day, or every week even.

its a lot of screws.

I might be interested but I would need a firm number. Exact cost with shipping and any other fees. Also, when would you be doing this?

I don't have the Astro City cabinets yet. They are still on route. I'll send pictures as soon as I have them unloaded. I have the Neo cabinets now..

I'm down with that... would probably just keep the mvs cab as the horizontal guy. The big thing will be convincing the mrs that another cab is an essential item and that one is not enough. ;)

When do you think this buy might be izalul? I know you are just gauging interest at this point, but was curious if you had any ideas as to when you wanted to do it.

yeah, put me down for an mvu-4. only thing that would prevent it is a huge shipping cost.

YES!

I am 100% down for a MVU-4!!! I've been DYING to get one, but have come up short a number of times. I have cash ready, and I'm willing to pay whatever it takes to have it shipped here!

I would be willing to put a full down payment whenever necessary. Seriously. You let me know when and where.

Good to see you on here.

I'll take one for now.

The MVU-4 in my photo album was a unit that I purchased from the guys @ thegameroom.com. It got to my old location very well wrapped/packed. Also, this cabinet is by far one of the easiest to move as it took me a whole 3 minutes to get it from the shipping deck and into a minivan (2 minutes spent trying to locate it in the shipping warehouse).

Chances are that the fiancee and I will be coming down to pick this up from Arlington. It'll be either that or I'd like to jump on anyone's route back up here. :)

Yeah put me under the astro column for now... I should be able to figure something out. Maybe I can suggest, "...Hey let's go for a drive... We haven't been to northern Va in a while."

That was the plan I had, but the fiancee decided she wants to stop by the area...so that kills two birds with one stone.

I'll get shipping info and everything together as soon as Ken gets the Astro Cabs.

I'm doing this so we can get first dibs.

Astros make great shooter cabs, and MVU-4's are the easiest cabs to work with. They're super small, and wheel around with ease. The feet are easily adjusted, and the access doors are big.

So far:
MVU-4's
1. OMF2097
2. Not Sonic
3. Slicey Pete
4. Beagle Puss
5. My buddy Joe
6. ME :)

Astos
1. Xiao
2. My buddy Joe
3. ME :)
4. ME :)

I think Jaelus might get in on this as well... or at least I'll make him order a MVU-4.

I want to help fill the east coast with some fine candies. I'll get pics from Ken when he gets a chance (or shit, he can just post them here). I ordered some cabs from Ken and outside of the usual dings here and there, they're in amazing shape. No monitor/ sound issues. And R+L delivery was super nice.

As for when the order will be done, when Ken recieves his Astros. I'll want to do it asap.

I just figure we might be able to save a good bit on shipping. And I have friends that want a few candies.

And just again, I highly reccomend getting the MVU-4-25. It's getting harder and harder to find, and they're damn fine cabs. If you feel so inclined, order a pair :P

Unfortunately, I'm only looking to have people pick them up from my area.

He could arrange shipping for you, just contact him (thegameroom.com, he posted above)

Man these looks good, but I'm already planning to get a cab from someone else. Maybe when I have enough room in the future. ;)

So can anyone order these from Ken? Just wondering b/c I know I'd be down for one or two shipped to St. Louis, plus I know Joe T. on here would probably want one as well. Not trying to hijack the thread, just curious.

I asked him to hold the MVU-4's for this order first. There should be enough astros for everyone.
