Hi,

I recently got an RGB cable for my jap neo-geo AES. But there seems to be a problem somewhere. I have tried it on 4 tv's. On 2 tv's it works perfectly. And on 2 others it doesn't. On one tv i get no image at all, and with the other the picture scrolls up very fast.

All tv's support NTSC. Does anyone know what the problem is here?

Thanks in advance.

There is an RGB cable and there is a Scart cable, they are different. It sounds to me like you have a japanese RGB cable and are plugging it into a euro scart connector or vice versa.

Nope, I'm using a European SCART cable. And yes, I know the difference between SCART and RGB.

Euro-Scart cables supports fully RGB functions. Are sure all the wires are soldered?

Scart is not a sign type, but a plug type, just able to carry RGB.

Do not misunderstand the vessel with the contens.

Maybe it's a problem between RGB and XRGB-2 signals.

All wires are soldered. If they weren't it would be rather odd it works with 2 tv's and not with 2 others. I did find some other interesting thing. If I connect pin 16 on the scart cable to pin 18 (which is the composite sync I believe), I do get an image, but it doesn't move (and it's definately RGB).

So if I turn on the neo-geo I see some blocks which don't move. If I first use the composite cable, turn on the neo-geo and then switch cables while the game is active, you see a still image of the game.

Thanks for all replies by the way.

When I said all tv's support NTSC I wasn't making it up :) . Every other console or DVD that plays at 60hz works on all tv's, no problems.
