Doesn't seem to be dumped unfortunately. I have never heard of this, what a cool hack. It was found on a Mexican bootleg.

I'm the owner of the only known board for this. Purchased it last year. It WILL be dumped at some point, but until then I can't say anything. For those wondering, it is just a normal Final Fight PCB with changed eeproms, nothing special otherwise. There is another bootleg/hack out there called Final Crash, but it's not the same.

Once I get an eeprom burner and I feel comfortable it will be dumped for everyone to play.
I just played it the other day to make sure it was still fine and it played the same as the first day I got it, so no worries, it is still alive.

As far as it being on any of those multi-boards, definitely not. I haven't seen anyone else that has this rom set anywhere. I'm literally the ONLY person on the planet that has the board/roms as far as I'm aware, though I'm sure it's probably still running in some 3rd world arcade venue somewhere.

I posted in the thread below shortly after I received it, denoting some of the unique things about the hack, and other differences. I have since found out that some of those are likely due to the DIP switches, which I won't be touching until after I have dumped the roms:

Bring it over one night and I'll help you dump the ROMs.

Assemblergames.com... heh... I guess the guy running the place doesn't like me, he never "approved" my account.

Nah, that's probably not the case. Assembler will let anyone register, but he does have some spam filters on the site that occasionally bounce legitimate users...and there is the occasional random hiccup (you might have just fallen through the cracks). It's just one guy who runs the site himself...and he's not a professional network administrator.

If you get in contact with him, though, he'll probably be able to work out whatever the problem is.

I'll point him in the direction of this thread, either way.

I posted in some open thread that I was having problems registering then I got an email from the forum stating my account had been deleted.

No biggie. I was going to post there on a thread he had about an MVS problem.

I have this board as well. See here: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195696

EDIT- After doing some reading I'm lead to believe we may have the same game, however on different boards. I remember reading on the assembler forums that the board you guys had seemed to have a suicide battery? Mine is definitely a CPS1 board, however there is no battery.

I pulled the battery last year as after looking at it, I quickly figured out that it was already desuicided. Besides, Final Fight doesn't have a suicide battery.

The C board on mine was pulled from one of the Q-Sound games (92641C-1), and was already de-suicided, which made it work on this game, but that board can definitely be used to save something else more worthy, I will just need to get another C board that is meant for Final Fight as some point.

Will contact you in a bit channelmaniac - I'm busy for the next month on Saturday's though.

TerryMasters - nice to see that someone else has a very similar board, but I noticed a few things that are different on my board compared to mine, namely the title screen for one. Still watching the rest of your video, will post on the other thread.

Cool.

If you have a weeknight it might work better for me anyway. Between hunting and working on the house, it's kinda crazy for the next month or so.

Looks like the last registration attempt left it in limbo somewhere... and someone approved the account.

I was able to get my password reset and login.

Thanks :D

DevilRedeemed had a hacked Final Fight PCB just like that. IIRC he's from Argentina.

Pretty cool to play through as Damnd, Sodom, Andore, etc.
