I can vouch for the headphone manufacturer.
I have a Sennheiser RS 140.

Not being restrained by the chord is wonderful.
I use them in the office and don't trip over the 12' chord that comes with headphones nowadays. You have no idea how nice that feels.
They are great for people who to listen to music, loud, while they do chores without pissing any neighbors or family members off.
The batteries last forever in these things. It has a recharging dock that strings them out even longer.
~2 months of every day use for 2 AAA batteries without charging.
~6 months of every day use with charging.

The only thing you need to do when you get these:
The headphones themselves have a bit of background 'noise' (a better word escapes me) . The higher the volume on the headset the louder the background noise. You want the volume turned way up on your computer and adjust your volume on the headphones themselves.
Thats another nifty feature, volume control at your ear.

The only things I wish it had were 'noise cancellation' and an attached mic.

GL Average Joe... if I didn't have a pair I would jump on these.

Woah, that was a random yet cool post.

I'm no audiophile so I didn't know much about them.

Basically just used them for solo late night Guitar Hero sessions.

But my fondness for Guitar Hero halted over time and whenever else I'm listening to music it's with my ipod and with their respective headphones.
