monitor color blob remenants on screen

When I power down my Ms Pac cab I'm left with a rainbow blob slightly off center and slightly larger then a fist for about 15 minutes. Not a new problem, I am planning on doing a cap kit on the monitor and figured I should knock out this problem at the same time I got the monitor broke down. Any thoughts?

If it's been there since day 1, there's nothing you can really do about it, usually caused by the HV not being bleed off (some sets don't have a bleeder resistor), if this problem is new, maybe the bleeding circuitry is broken.

Monitor has been doing it since I came into possession of the cab (i.e. rescued it from the trash).

I'd possibly not call it a problem but itd be a good idea to add a bleeder circuit or repair the existing one if it has one.
