PS2 to JAMMA

I got one of these in amd plugged it up to run into some minor issues. The sound is RIDICULOUSLY loud. Any way to turn it down?

Problem 2 is that the controls don't work. I think this is due to the MVS harness so I am gonna get the MVS to Jamma and try again. Any help please.

Are you playing this in a MVS cab? If so you will need JAMMA->MVS, not the other way around... I'm sure that is evident...but just be careful if you do order one, as both exist.

That would work in letting you play jamma in your mvs cab... however, if you are having problems with controls, I would check into that first. If you look at the mvs and jamma pinouts, the differences are in the test switch (iirc) and the audio pins. The controls only have the extra button on MVS really...so A,B,C and joystick directions are straight-through.

Have you hit the coinswitch?

I have not hit the coin switch. Did not think of it at all. I plugged in my PS2 control and that worked fine but once I get off work I will go home and try this. I hope it works as I looked at the pinouts and noticed not that much of a difference between Jamma and Mvs.

Yeah give that a try.

You'll also still want to deal with the jamma->mvs issue in terms of mono to stereo. You can either rewire the speakers on the fly for mono as others have mentioned before, or you can get the adapter which will handle it for you, or you can build one. Whatever you do, just be careful you don't toast those audio parts on your jamma stuff.

Most ps2>Jamma converters are default set to coin mode.

I bet that's the problem.
