The monitor isn't on but the game is. The board is functioning well because you can hear the sound and see the coin credit . The monitor doesn't look like it's on at all. I'm hoping it's just a burn out fuse some where. Can anyone help me with a complete detail on how to fix it? Much appreciated. Don't really want to resort to call a video arcade repair service.

Take a look inside your cab, specifically the monitor chassis area, if there is a blown fuse, it'll be there. Without more information it'll be pretty difficult to help you. Check for things like is there power going to the monitor chassis. Is the heater in the CRT glowing, are the RGB and Sync lines from the game board properly hooked up.

As noted, check the fuse on the monitor board. If it's blown, replace it. If you've done it and the fuse blows when power is turned on, the board needs to be repaired. Also check all power and connectors to the monitor and also check the power supply for proper voltage. The fact the pcb is firing up and you can hear the game is a good indication it's a monitor-related problem.
