Hi
I have a few questions , please bear with me as i dont really know what im talking about
i have a supergun at home which i use with a 21” sony crt tv via rgb scart and it works fine , now im looking to build a seperate games room and id like to be able to play 2df and ggpo + other emulators in it , so would i be able to buy a j-pac and plug that into my supergun and still use my 21” crt tv and could i use the supergun controls or would i have to use controls via USB on the PC ? also id like to get a small case pc (small as possible really) what kind of specs and case would be best to go? would i be best off buying some sort of small media pc or have a go at building my own (is it easy :( )? id like it to run just emulators. also could i create a front end for 2df – ggpo + other emulators like final burn etc etc
Any help would be great
Thanks

You want to use your controllers on the PC running GGPO? Well, the way you describe it would work, but sounds really cumbersome.

Here's how I would do it:
-Make an adapter for your controllers to connect directly to the PC. Get some USB pads (preferably 2 of the same one for simplicity), wire the same connector on the suergun for your controllers to the USB pads (so JAMMA up is USB pad up, JAMMA start is USB pad start, etc)
-Use a video card with the PC that's made to be TV-compatible. Most of the modern video cards will let you use a composite, s-video, or component video signal, in either NTSC or PAL. There are even ways to tweak your video card to get a RGB signal out of the VGA port, that's suitable to use with a SCART signal. I've seen it done for use with a JAMMA RGB monitor, so the only difference in that procedure should just be wiring up the other end of the VGA cable to a SCART connector (I bet you can but them pre-made). That, or for all I know, there's a less hack-ish way to get SCART RGB from a video card, and I'm just unaware (after all I don't live in SCART territory).
