Genesis Game Genie - Not working

Okay, here's the situation. I got this Game Genie along with my Sega CD when I got it in December of last year. Since then I haven't gotten it to work. I've tried cleaning it and it still doesn't work. Tried it with two different Genesis consoles and several different games, still no dice. I also tried turning it on with the switch both on and off, all I get is a black screen after the bios screen.

This copy never had a label on it so it was no problem to open it up, which let me clean it a lot easier. Can any of you troubleshoot the problem? Or is this board dead (like I figure)?.

Well for starters, you could test to make sure that the top pins to the bottom area are getting a connection, using a meter. Likely the bios chip has gone out on it.

Secondly, these things are a dime a dozen on eBay, etc. If you can't get it to work, keep it for parts or something.

Meh, if they're cheap on eBay then I'll grab one some time. There's a very low chance I'd find it locally, online is for specifics unless I go into an eBay Store.

Thanks for the help anyway guys. :D
