So I just got my Atomiswave and I get it all plugged in and I run into an issue. It turns on fine and the game starts up but it goes in and out. Like you here the fan slow down and the game color kinda wigs out and a small sound pop happens. What the hell?! Is it a power issue? I am running it in a Neo 29 so yes I know the power is 100 and we are 110 but my MVS runs perfect on it. Is it because I have a MVS harness and not Jamma standard? Or do I have a dreaded faulty board? Please help! I will place this thread in Arcade Central also, hope that's not a problem.

Ok, so I tried the AW in my Big Red and everything worked fine. Is this a issue with the voltage on my Neo 29 then?

Sounds like the power supply in your Neo 29 has shit itself.

Of course, with an incorrectly wired harness who knows.

Can anyone help on this. It has to be a PSU issue but why can my MVS work fine on it? I just got a PS2 to Jamma and that is turning on too. Other issues with that but neither here nor there. Please help.

The MVS is less demanding on power requirements compared to these newer units. Although I don't see how the sound is related to the PSU...

Is there a way to bring the juice up slightly on the Neo 29's PSU?

Grab a multi-meter to keep track of the voltage and there should be a small pot you can turn with a screwdriver to adjust the +5 on the PSU.
