Anyone tried this rgb-component converter

Does it really matter so much, which brand of RGB->yuv converter you use? Any yuv component is vastly superior to s-video and composite. Maybe some brands are better at converting RGB to yuv, I don't know. But it also depends on the quality of the converter in the monitor itself(if it's a CRT monitor), as a CRT with yuv input will have to convert the yuv back again to RGB to display it on the screen.

I was thinking of building one along those lines, and was wondering if anyone else had done so already.
