Does this system use the same exact Jamma pinout as the Neo Geo?

I am not 100% sure but I do know when I had one of these it plugged right up to my Big Red and everything worked fine. No sound issues and the 4th button worked fine.

One more thing... do IGS/PGM games use this button layout:

A B C D

or this:

A B C
D

Thanks!

"Exact same JAMMA pinout as Neo Geo"

No such thing. You are either talking about JAMMA or MVS.

I believe the PGM uses a standard JAMMA pinout with a connector for stereo.

Well ok ok you are right. But all I wanted to know was if a PGM/IGS will work perffectly with a Neo Geo (1 slot) specific supergun.

The controls are laid out the same as Neo-Geo, minus the Select Button of course.

If your Supergun is wired for MVS Stereo only, you might have an issue with sound--the PGM is JAMMA/mono off the edge. If you're just running an MV-1C or 1B and don't have any issues, they're the same as PGM.

Also if your Supergun has an attenuation circuit, you might also have an issue with sound. Depending on the ATT Circuit used, it may kill the audio entirely---this is the case with D-Lite's superguns, which is why he later started adding a switch to turn it off.

And lastly, if you're using a NeoBitz encoder you have to use component video. Otherwise it'll be in black & white.

Hope that helps :)
