This is a double post but the original is buried at the end of my complete work log.

So I fired up the TV after mounting the TV circuit board on the inside right of the CAB. It is held in place with wood brackets that I made.

The TV worked fine back when I had set all the settings before decasing it.

Now it is Super White Brightness (default settings) and has some rolling horizontal white lines (see picture and video link)

The screen is very bright white and washed out

Check out the pics and let me know if the board is to close to the Tube. Maybe its the Flyback Transformer causing it. But I am not a TV expert! I really could use anyone's help! Thank you..

It is the lower pot on the flyback transformer. Below the focus adjustment, it is the screen voltage pot.

Turn it anti-clockwise to reduce the brightness, back it off so that you can just see the phosphors illuminate then a few degrees further to get a good black level.

Presto, fixed it ! THank you!

THANK YOU GUYS BIG TIME (thought I had killed this TV in proccess)

SO that fixed it perfectly. You guys were right I must of bumped the dial when decassing it.
A quick turn of the SCREEN Control Knob on the Flyback and it looks great now.

I was lucky enough that the dial is just barely accesable from the front with a long phillips head screwdriver.

A little bit of interference can be seen in the test pattern, maybe some kind of RF sheild for the right side of the Tube is Needed???

Does anyone know where this fly back wheel is on a Neo Geo, I have white horizontal lines across the screen.

I opened the back and there they were,2 knobs. 1 said screen and the other I cant remember now. I turned the screen knob to the left a little and BINGO the lines went away and the color and quality increased 10 fold.

I just got the machine for 3 days now, know very little. I got to find a good game recommendation thread on games besides fighters.

the other knob is focus and will adjust the picture sharpness.

Every geek needs a small bottle of (NON metallic) fingernail polish in their repair kits... Take a small dab and put it where it touches the knob and the flyback housing. When it dries it will keep the screen control from drifting due to heating/cooling cycles.
