What is a decent price for a battletoads board? i've seen various prices online that seem to range from $50 to $200.

that seems like a fair price. I'd be willing to pay $70-80 plus shipping if anybody has one available.

I traded mine off a couple of months ago, otherwise I would have one to sell. I was looking for $80 at the time. I have seen them go for $50 - $150 personally. Never seen one actually sell for $200, even on eBay.

This guy will never sell his at that price:

Someone should send him an offer of $50, just to piss him off. The board isn't worth $200. IF someone buys at that, they are impatient.

BTW- All of them are 3 player boards. You need a special harness, similar to what is on the Mortal Kombat PCBs, or you can just solder directly on the connector. If you need the pin out, PM me, I believe I have the manual.

Awesome game by the way.

Yeah that guy is never going to get $200 for it. There are several places online that are selling it for too much but at least are lower than $200. If somebody buys his it will be because they don't know where else to look, but it seems like if they had an arcade cabinet to put the board in they would have a few more connections than ebay.

So I already have a 3 Player Knights of the Round cabinet that I think a battletoads board would work well in. Its controls are set up just like battletoads, so if I can get the board I'm all set. Maybe I'll have to start looking for some artwork for it.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, you should probably buy this guys board. Anything under $100 is a deal.

One thing to be aware of though is you will most likely have to fudge with the sound wiring on your cab to get sound on you KotR cab. The board outputs stereo through the jamma harness in such a way that it doesn't have sound on most (99%) of mono cabs (or cabs that have stereo through an additional harness). I didn't know this when I got my board and originally thought it was broken.
Not that it should discourage you, but be prepared to have to modify the sound wiring ever so slightly, and get a new 3rd player harness, of course.

Is the guy selling it a good guy to deal with? Does anybody have experience with him? Just want to know what I'd be getting into if I buy from him.
