What could be a possible cause for the music on my Super Spy MVS cart to be crackling and distorted?

My other carts work fine!

Now this is wierd!

I dunno if it is just luck, but if I take all the other carts out of the board then the problem disappears.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

Perhaps it's interference. Have you tried putting Super Spy in another slot? Have you tried opening up the cart and cleaning all of each board? Have you tried cleaning the MVS board cart slots?

Yes thanks, I've tried all those points above.

I seem to have it working OK at the moment, specifically with Super Spy in slot 1 and my other carts in the remaining slots.

Yes. I posted a similar thread a few weeks back about sound trouble with my 4 slot. I had a cart that was experiencing sound distortions (Neo Turf) and cleaning/reseating didn't help. It was no boot. I thought it might be a cap issue. But when I removed Windjammers (which was also in my 4 slot) the problem went away.

I tried different combination and apparently when Windjammers was in certain spots with certain carts, the sound went pear-shaped. Seems 4 slots can be persnickety.

Try clearing the back up ram memory...it may or may not help.
