Hello everyone. I'm looking for:

Battle Garegga (Ver Sat Feb 3 1996) PCB

titlet.jpg

Conditions:
  • If you've changed the EPROM or if you had someone else change the EPROM, please let me know.
  • Must be an original PCB. NO BOOTS!
  • The PCB must be in excellent shape. No issues with the board; even aesthetic issues.
Name your price and I'll see if I bite.

Thanks!

It's more like 300ish but even at this price, it's pretty hard to find. Some asian sellers are selling it for 400 nowadays, Coinopexpress is trying to get more than 500 for it

$200 Garegga? Where? Never seen one that cheap.

I saw some boards going for $200 bare a while back in a few places. One guy at Arcade Otaku was selling an almost 100 percent working board at around $200 I think.

Once again, $200 without no art. With art expect I guess around $300.

Aren't all the Battle Garegga versions essentially the same? The only difference lies in the EPROM, correct?

I apologize for offering such a low price! I didn't know.

They are some differences.

Some have different bullet sprites (from the hard to see ones on the JP board to the regular ball bullet sprites on the US version and the like), and I believe some have different stage order.

Your best bet is getting a Japanese board just to be on the safe side.

What about this then?

What are the prices for:
  • Ver Sat Mar 2 1996
  • Ver Tue Apr 2 1996
Are they relatively cheaper or is the price fixed for all three revisions?

When you play the orginial version of the game on MAME and go to the dip switches via the TAB button to change Region, the bullet sprite changes and so does how much it's need for an extend.

Edit: Alright I can't use my memory all the way. The bullet sprites stays the same in the US version BUT the extend is every 2,000,000. JP version is every 1,000,000.

The extends are very important in Garegga because of its infamous rank system so in order to play this game correctly buy the JP board.

OK. Other than that, the boards hardware wise are identical except for the jumpers and that single EPROM?

So if I buy say, the "Ver Tue Apr 2 1996" revision, the two things I have to do is cut the jumpers and burn an EPROM that has the "Ver Sat Feb 3 1996" code.

And viola, its a Japanese board?

If you purchase the Ver Sat Feb 3 1996 board and it's not in Nippon/Japan region then mess around with the jumpers for Japan region and yes you got yourself a JP board.

Then again my memory is not perfect so don't take my word on it.
