Have you ever bought a rare game off of ebay that the seller insists is a "mint" copy olnly to find a scratched out cart. Then you buy a World Heroes cart that is in minty shape. You say to yourself, "Why the Hell does my View Point have to look like shit and that crapy World Heroes game look great? It's not fair!"

Having that said I will get to my point. Is it possible to take the guts out of one cartidge and put it into another? So I got a bad looking View Point and a good looking World Heroes could I play the old switcharoo on them? I could then trade the stickers and presto! I have a crapy looking World Heroes game and a minty View Point game (aside from the sticker wrinkles). Would this plan work? If you had the means to make a sticker...then it would be perfect! Any comments on this...

The rounded edges would be a bit dificult to make.

If at least we could have a SNK standard file to modify... <img src="graemlins/drool2.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool 2]" />

Yeah, it is totally possible, the only problem is, as soon as you make a new sticker and replace the old one, the cart value has gone down (unless it is really really good and no one can tell, but a lot of collectors can). If you don't care, and would rather have the cart look better (and I don't blame you) then, I'd say go for it.

Why not remove the sticker with lighter fluid ?
It's been proven to work for mvs boxes, maybe it will work for AES plastic casing too ?

Maybe pop the boards out of the AES casing before putting lighter fluid on it ?

Maybe the lighter fluid will damage plastic ?

Look around for trieuminator's thread on mvs reconditioning.

That's good news. I don't think I will go to the trouble of doing that just yet though. It is an option that is out there for those who wish to swap carts. I did this once with a Sega Master System game. It is much easier so do on the SMS than on the NG. Anyway, Collectors are more interested in collecting than playing. If I was a true collector, I would buy a version of the game to play and another version to stare at. :)
