I see its already for 09 release instead of 2010...
An admin on IgnitionUSA's forum said 2010:
"Well I hate to ruin the fun but don't expect to see KoF 98: UM XBLA (Or MS7 XBLA) until sometime in 2010."

Um... yes they will. This is an update to an 11 year old game that people are STILL playing. People didn't stop caring about '98 once '99 was out... or MI... or '03... or XI...
So why exactly will XII suddenly make people indifferent to a tweaked version of '98?

The non-hardcore people already don't care when they see "98" in the title of the game. If you're gonna try to trick casuals into buying it, better at least change the name to "King of Fighters: Ultimate Match", or they'll just think it's another old game that they can ignore.
Not gonna lie I completly agree the name should just be cut to be called kof ultimate match. In all honestly though no matter how you put it its to little to late. The shit was supposed to hit befoe 12. Also kof 2k2 ulimited match is already out and they put alot more work into that remake. Its way better.
