Its a phoenixed version running in my Egret 2. For some reason I'm getting a really annoying static high pitch sound from the speakers. I have sound and music but it sounds really weird.

I have tested out KI2 and a 1slot MVS and I get perfect sound. I only have a issues with the CPS2. I even hooked up RCA cables from the A board to my tv and getting the same high pitch sound from the tv speakers?

Could it be the A board that is giving me the sound issues? Do you think I could just replace the A board with a new one from Arcadeshock and I would get proper sound?

is it an original? do you have any other CPS2 boards to try? I wouldn't bother with a new A board, apart from being new, just seems a waste of money.

Its the only CPS2 board I have. I'm not sure if its an original or not?

Seriously?

Pull the 2 boards apart. Make sure you don't sway the board left to right just use an upward motion.

hmm, I'd say that was a boot but I'm not 100% sure.

Okay I have done that several times and still get the same issue. Sorry this is my 1st CPS2 board, so I'm not too familiar with it.

Hmmm. So this is your only CPS2 game? Maybe it's the A board who knows. Crack it open and check to see if there is anything weird in there.

If it is a boot it's common that it has sound problems.

I think there may have been but it's really rare. Mainman should be able to shed some light on this.

Man that board a straight up boot and a sloppy one at that, also there was never a blue release of this game. Yours not battery powered and I think the eproms that are labeled are for xmen. Why would a offical board that is obviously phoenixed be using official capcom eprom window cover especially on roms 3 and 4 of a different game even. Their trying to misdirect you with the capcom labels.

There has only been one and only one time when capcom used eproms on a legit board for main program and sound data and that is the blue U.S version of progerar but who ever assembled your board was to cheap to use eproms so they opted for ugly flash chips with those nasty bread boards. It might have sound issues because the jumpers are wrong or the sound rom is bad or the fake pal is half assed, wait I don't see pal 3 in your pic, man you have a really sloppy/bad boot.
