Cabinet Upgrade 2-slot to 4-slot Question

I've got an original upright 2-slot beauty. I am, however, strongly considering upgrading to a 4-slot, just to minimize on the cart swapping.

Any advice? Is it just a matter of swapping out the mobo and reconnecting everything up, or is it hairier than that? Any issues or quirks with a 4-slot that might not be present on a 2 slot?

Thanks all

There are two versions of the 2 slot, one has an on board memory card reader, the other uses the MV-1C card reader pcb - otherwise its just a case of swapping the mobo.

The 2-slot mobo that I've got has the on-board memory card reader and headphone jacks.

Do the 4-slots have the headphone jacks too, or do they need the daughter pcb?

They are on the MV-1C daughter board afaik see the socket bottom left of the pic, next to the headphone and volume sliders.

Been thinking about doing this myself for the same reason (less cart swapping), however I don't want to buy a MV-1C and I know it will be hard to find a new 4 slot marquee. I know the 1C isn't needed, but I do use my memory card from time to time.
