I have a location free player - the only thing that does is allow you to watch your dvr/cable box on your psp anywhere with an internet connection. It doesn't convert dvd's to psp-playable files or anything though.

If you have a Mac you can use Handbrake and choose PSP output.

My main problem with these programs is that alot of them dont support the PsP's full resolution of 480x272.A few of them do and the quality is so much better.
I cant believe that the PsP cannot play Divx files.My freaking phone can play Divx and my PSP cant???

I just try to find MP4 format. I believe it plays those no problem if I recall.

Well, things like handbrake are nice so you don't have to log around all your UMD movies etc. You just have on your memory card and keep the system 'portable'.
