$10,436.82 for the cabinet? That's a lot of hope to pin on one game...

Maybe my conversions are off but both those prices sound ridiculous when converted to USD.

Consider, though, that most Japanese arcades are 100 yen per play, if not more. 400 credits on a new game in a popular franchise is pretty much a sure thing.

All of these Vewlix games are this much. It should be a set of two, Japanese-style, so it's two cabs back to back with one joystick in each one.

IIRC if arcades wanted SF4 cabs this way, they had to buy them in sets of four for about $20,000 U.S. My local game center had eight of them at release.

So if the pcbs are almost 4000 and a for 2xcab w/game it's 10000, it's only 1000 for each viewlix blue cab?!? When you do that math it sounds pretty awesome... (minus 4000 for the game)

I just spoke with NCS about accepting orders for the kit, and they said they may open them up next week.

They're going to shoot me an e-mail as soon as they have made a decision on it.

I still think it's BS how TypeX2 kits cost nearly $4000... $1000 of PC parts and $3000 for a HDD, USB key and game code. GTFO.

Ohh trust me when I was in japan w/e version of GGX I was playing me was costing me 300 yen a game. -_- Wasnt very pleased that even the older games where 100 yen which is a about a dollar. In America that would never fly. Then again in america arcades are dead.

Yeah doesnt pc based arcade hardware just piss you the fuck off.

A taito X2 is more like $600 worth of PC including the HDD.

Sega's new ring edge is a joke to but at least that uses SSD.

There is no reason to to platform exclusives unless you're a 1st party developer.

It'll only hurt your sales.

SNK's not that stupid. It probably wont waste its time with a Japanese 360 but to not have a US 360 version is suicide for sales.

Sour grapes, anyone?

Besides, don't let your nurples get all purple. It'll likely make it to both consoles, at least in the US. Particularly since the Type X-2 is PC-based, anyway... should make a 360 port a fairly easy job. It would be foolhardy to ignore the 360's userbase in the US.

Hoepfully all you guys saying thank god are saying thank god they didnt down port it to ps2. It would be rather pathetic to say thank god its only been announced for ps3.
