I have an old RCA 25 inch tv that has been in my room for the past 4 years. It is the model that was "XBox ready". Anyways, I turned it on, and it came on fine, and I unplugged it while it was on, to figure which plug was for the TV (I was being lazy). When I went to turn it back it on, it wouldn't respond. It won't even attempt to turn on. Any idea what it could be?

That's what I thought. I'm hoping that is it. I'll be cracking it open soon.

You did make sure the outlet wasn't tripped, right?

good idea. Didn't even think about that. I doubt it, but I'll check.

I didn't even have to check the breaker. The console I had was plugged into the same outlet, and powered up fine, so I know the socket is good. onto the fuses

I've restored two arcade machines, so I am aware of the dangers of tube televisions. I always wear rubber gloves when 'operating'.

The 25 kv at the anode will jump through a pair of rubber cloves and bite you as if you had no gloves on. :spock:
