I've got a New Astro City with a 29" Nanao ms9-29a monitor rotated to vertical orientation.
There is an issue where if you divide the screen into four equal width vertical quarters the 2nd quarter from the left goes a little wavy at the top and bottom, like a flag in a very slight breeze....
On a solid black screen you can see what I would describe as a wood grain effect in the area that is slightly wavy if that makes sense.
Before the cab warms up there are some vertical lines of light color bleed evenly spaced, brightness adjustment has largely addressed that though.
The cab in new to me so I do not know it's history, I checked the voltages and the 5v was a bit high, it is now at 5.05 with a load on it, the 12v was at 12.03v
When I got it I noticed that the chasis did not have a ground wire attached to the frame, so I added that just in case as well.
Sorry if my description is hard to follow, hope it makes sense. I'd love to provide pics but my cell phone camera is not good enough to capture this when the game is on.
Curious what the likely cause of this problem is, I expect a cap kit is needed but have never done one so wanted to be pretty sure this is needed before I attempt to do it.
thanks!!
