memory card help please!!!

I have a memory card that works perfectly on my big red, but on my jap aes it is hit or miss (mostly miss). When a game is over instead of the save game screen I get 2 lines of japanese, then memory card error?!?!? Anybody know what's going on? thanks!

First thing to check is dirty or bent pins in the card socket - maybe dust and shit in there.

damn, guess I'll have to take it apart... do you know what those 2 lines of jap text says?

one or more of the pins are probably bent.

Took it apart, pins were perfect, did not look all that dirty, cleaned it anyway, works now!!! Thanks guys.:buttrock:
