Would it be possible to have 2 four slot boards in one cab?
To have 8 MVS carts in one Dedicated cab.
Or any other MVS board combo set-up like a 12 slot.

I'm going to use the 4x4 as my question set-up.
I have a lot of room underneath the 4 slot mother board above the power supply.
(I currently have a fan there)

The other 4 slot would have to be upside down or placed on the inner side of the cab with something made to keep the carts in.

I would keep a series of games in those slots like Metal Slug 1 through 4.

A way to switch between the boards?

I don't know if is possible to connect another board to the existing board to have it run through all the games,1 through 8

Maybe splitting everthing in to two connections to the boards then switching between them somehow.

Is any of this possible in any way?

I dont see why it wouldnt be possible to use one of those Jamma connector boards that can do up to 6 Jamma boards in one ? They connect up in a chain.

I know there is a 2 Jamma board connector board as well , but Im not sure how or if you could get to run as an 8 slot board , I would guess that wouldnt be possible at all since the slot numbers are dictated bye the board bios.

The multi Jamma board connector should work just fine.

You may ask Briggs about these since I think he has a friend who is using one in a cab , If I remember correctly ?

There are two ways to do this that I know of.

1) Just use 1 Jamma harness and turn off the machine to pull the harness off one and plug it into the other then power up the machine.

2) Use a Multi-Jamma setup. Clay says it does work with MVS boards.

Hi

I have a multi jamma in my cab which works fine, at the moment I have my six slotat the back, 1 slot at the front for easy game change or testing, my hyper board and my PGM Martial masters boards at the sides as well, all hooked up and working great, I did at one point have two six slot boards my hyper board and my cps2 street fighter zero but that just ran too hot and theres not alot of room in my sitdown cab.

I have found the multi jamma to be very good but just needed one slight modification, there is not a select button on the cards for changing between games so all I did was fit one of those 3 buttons in one button to my cab, one button was wired to the multi jamma to change through the boards you have fitted and then one button went directly to each 6 slot for changing between games on each board, no other problems were found, just needed a big enough power supply to handle them all.

:D
