I'll try to give as much info as possible, so perhaps the issue can be diagnosed.

I hooked up both my AES and CD systems to output to my video camera (Panasonic DVX100B) and both images had interlacing issues, where the fields did not seem to blend, causing a very bad quality image. Basically the next field is not interlacing properly, causing the image to look half res and generally 'off'

Of course hooked up to my television, both consoles produce outstanding images.

I tried outputting over s-video (aes is modded) composite, and the original av cables, yet all cause this exact same problem when feeding into my camera.

I would venture a guess to think its not a perfect 60hz signal coming from both consoles (japanese) which is skewing the results in my camera. Yet both the tv and camera being NTSC signals, I cant come up w/ a concrete reason why I get this terrible interlacing and 'wobbly' image when outputting into my cam.

If anyone knows, id be much appreciative if I could have the answer :conf:

Oh...and any other console (DC / WII / 3DO / 360 / PS3) do NOT have this issue. It seems to be isolated to SNK systems

That's exactly the problem, the sync rate.

Thought so , unfortunately. Figured it had to be the hardest to workaround problem.

Anyone successfully overcome this issue, and if so, how? My brain knew why, but the fix is a bit further off.

Have you tried connecting the machine to the TV and then connecting your TV's video/audio outputs to your camera?
