That's a pretty messy looking cart, but the presence of an MX chip alone doesn't necessarily mean it's a bootleg. That one also happens to have an official SNK sticker on it.

Just for the sake of my curiosity, would someone be so kind as to post that image, with the MX chip in question circled with MS paint or something? I'm just not quite sure what's being referred to....

though, it looks dirty to my inexperienced eyes, NeoAlec and Mainman probably know their stuff a lot better than I do. I just don't like that random wire on the one board, though my Garou has something similar and is absolutely legit.

On the bottom board pictured (CHA Board), look for a chip with a white sticker that says "SNK 28", you'll notice that you can almost see "MX" on the surface of that chip which the sticker is partially covering, that's what Neo alec and mainman were talking about.

And yeah, official SNK breadboards but it's been repaired by the looks of it, everything appears legit.

Breadboards?? They're Printed Circuit Boards.
You adults don't know how to have fun at all, do you? One man's printed circuit boards can be a child's breadboards. If only you make believe...
