It took me about 3 hours. It wouldn't have taken near that long, but after I was 3/4 of the way done I changed my mind about how I was going to do it.
I was hacking an Agetec DC arcade pad, because they have the wire leads from teh circuit board already, so it makes it very easy to hack. And since this is my first controller hack I wanted it to be an easy one.
At first I was going to splice into the wires, thus not destroying the controller. But when I got the directional stick it got to the point that it wasn't worth it. It was also at that point that I decided I should be soldering my wires together, not just twisting and taping.
So anyway, I went back redid it all and soldered everything. If I can find the time between school studies and work im going to finish my control panel this week. Cant wait. The Happ controls parts arrived today also.
