$150 for any Neo Geo MVS cab is a good deal (no wait, it's a FANTASTIC deal).

Also, this is in the wrong forum (general discussion would probably do) and the price in the actual listing is $225, did you haggle him down?

sucks cuz the thing didn't work when I looked at it. The 4-slot looked damn clean though...guess it's true about things being too good to be true

You should email that douchebag that wanted 850 and see if he's figured out he's not going to get that.

$850 is too much!!

I paid $350 for a 4-slot with 4 games (March 2008).

100% working, and in great shape!
He was the original owner, and he ordered/bought it direct from SNK-USA.

Well, he was an idiot to sell it for that little. Home bought machines are nearly unheard of for big reds. It's more difficult to find them than US Metal Slug 1 or Neo TurfMaster carts. Imagine buying a $2K cab straight from SNK and then selling it for that low of an amount without doing your research?

You certainly got a good deal but that doesn't mean that's the true value of a cab like that. Every single time you see a Neo cab for sale, their play counts are 20K+, some over 50 and 100K. If I was to see another sub-1K count original home-owned Big Red, I would not hesitate to pay $1K+ for it!

Sincerely,

Mikhail

You're right. He told me he paid over $2K for the cab from SNK-USA.
He just lost his job, and was moving back to Texas (to his sisters house),
and couldn't bring the cab with him.

I checked the serial number on the back of the cab, and it's in the low 15,000s.
Coin counter = 874

FWIW, the busted-ass cab that the OP posted has been re-listed for $100obo. It's beat but someone that is looking for a project/is cheap should take it.

Yeah, even at $100 it may not even be worth the trouble to haul it away. Maybe bring a known working board and try it?
