I just like shooters...new, old, hori, vert, bullet hell, methodical...as long as I can blow shit up, I'm happy.

Bullet Hell is a much better way to impress people who don't play shumps.

They don't understand that your hit box is usually much smaller than the sprite.

I never quite got the hit box thing. Like Psyvariar 2 where you're supposed to be unstoppable...I still frequently die.

This makes a huge difference, although some games considered "bullet hell" have a large hitbox and are insanely difficult.

Air Gallet comes to mind.

I will say that I have a sweet spot for the old hand-drawn sprites.

Psikyo has their own Varient?

Now that you mention it they kind of do have their own classification.

Any kind of shooting game is ace with me.

I guess navigating a near-solid wall of bullets brings me more satisfaction than the old stuff, though.
