XBOX Hard Drive Questions....

I have a defective Xbox System and would like to use it's Hard Drive for a spare on my computer.

I've heard that the HDs are "locked" and won't function in a PC/Mac UNLESS you "unlock" them with certain software.

I was wondering if anyone here can lead me to this software/information?

I would check this site, <a href="http://www.xbox-scene.com" target="_blank">www.xbox-scene.com</a> , they have a lot of tutorials and nice forums.

the HD has to be unlocked with data of the xbox it belongs to. if the xbox is really fried, the key is lost too and the HD useless.
