What changes if any should be made to Metal Slug?

Honestly if it ain't broke don't fix it I don't think there's anything WRONG with Metal Slug as it is But I am in a minority it seems or people who actually like 4.

Taking Metal Slug HD isn't enough. Adding 4 player, Speeding the game up. A character that's Meele only. Maybe giving us a plane to scroll on or if they want to keep it run and gun a dodge move.

Metal Slug's great but it's stagnant. I think everything after 3 isn't beloved as much as 3 because 3 was just epic and even if Nazca had done 4 I don't think anything could've lived up to 3.

That Said I really enjoy 6 and I'm going to get 7 as soon as humanly possible.

A little more stage variety would have been nice, along with Fio and Eri.

Other than that, it's got a nice, clean, original Metal Slug feel to it, not much would need fixing. :)

MS7 should be the last MS game...

Change it and it's not MS anymore...and they've already done everything they can do with the game...I think it's time to put this IP out to pasture.

SNK can't make a new IP they're too stupid.

All I know is they want to go HD with 8. a few minor Gameplay changes might help it a little bit.

Are you sure you don't mean the game should be changed so that it can only be played at video game meets in Georgia?? :loco:

Ralf and Clark do add alot to metal slug I also like that everyone doesn't play exactly the same anymore. (I still lean towards Fio)

Heidern would be a great addition. A ninja character would be cool.

The only problem with the series is that they all play the same. Even when they added a slide in 5 it played exactly the same as every other installment. You only really need to use the slide like ONCE and it's not fast enough to dodge with either.

Maybe a graphical face lift is all Metal Slug needs. Really it's fine the way it is, as I've been saying but a few changes might keep it from being stagnant.

Is there anyone that actually likes Slug 3D? Most say it sucks but I'm keeping an open mind until I can get my hands on a copy.

I think that if they really want to deliver a knew Metal Slug, they should take a page from Mega Man 9's book.

Mega Man 9 is basically the new Mega Man 3. It's a gameplay and level design sequel to Mega Man 2 in every way. If they did that with Slug, going back to basics and making a new Slug 4 without all the extraneous features that have crept in throughout the years (not that they are bad), and really polish the level and boss design, I think they would have a winner.

a Metal Slug HD would still be OK, and is probably the way they will go. I'm sure they are going to load up a few more features, and continue the series onwards from where it is now, and the game will be OK, but not exceptional.

But for functionality changes, it would be great if they would change the controls and find a better way to self destruct your slug. Some of the boss fights in X can be especially frustrating due to this.

Hey, I was voicing my opinion on the question of the topic, there's no law around here set in stone, that says nobody shall speak harshly of Metal Slug last time I checked.

Also, I was asking Kernow a perfectly legitimate question. I'm just trying to poke fun at him. :p
