Ok I'm building a custom cab with a 25" wellsgardner monitor, i am having some confusion with hooking it up, i have the isolation transformer but not sure of the power supply to get.

I was told the suit case type were crap
http://www.jammaboards.com/store/15a-arcade-switching-power-supply-110w/prod_251.html

and was told that these AT power supplies were much easier and better
http://www.happ.com/powersupplies/80007200.htm

my issue is how do i hook the monitor to the AT power supply, i know how to rig up the old style with a suitcase PS line filter ETC.

thanks in advance.

No offence, but it always amazes me how many people think monitors run off DC power.

Your monitor doesn't connect to the power supply. Buy an AC distribution block and hook up your power supply, monitor and whatever else to it.

Also, I'd be inclined to get one without a fan. Moving parts = unreliability and noise.

The power comes into the isolation transformer and out to the monitor AC. The power supply DC is for the boardset/controls.

I prefer the "suitcase" arcade power supplies as the +5 is easily adjustable for the different power requirements of some boards.
